GIS for Community Colleges

Community colleges are perfectly suited for offering GIS courses for students interested in a wide variety of disciplines that rely on GIS technology. They also provide GIS professionals with a local and low-cost source for training in GIS theory, practice, management, and industry-standard software.

ESRI can help community colleges by providing affordable software, teaching materials, and connections to GIS professors in their area. Current programs that ESRI has helped develop include cooperative agreements with Partners for Environmental Technical Education (PETE) and the California Community College GIS network.
