The Australian Offshore Mineral Locations map shows mineral occurrences and deposits within Australia’s 200-nautical-mile exclusive economic zone and extended continental shelf. Bathymetry shows the variable physiography of the seafloor that surrounds Australia.

Soils of Thunder Creek Watershed, North Cascades National Park
This map shows the distribution of soils as they form under the forces of nature in Thunder Creek Watershed. Since access within the watershed is limited to a few trails, the map is the result of a GIS model called the Remote Area Soil Proxy model.

The data used for this project was a seamless digital database of the entire Iceland IS 50V developed by the National Land Survey of Iceland.
Volume 19: GISThe Language of Geography
Sub-Andean Geological Map This surface geology map in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was used as a source of information for structural analysis combined with topographic information using ArcInfo. Dip direction data obtained in the field was also added. With data entry completed, symbology was assigned to each layer.
