Closest Facilty Solver

GIS can be used to model supply and delivery points. GIS network tracing and analysis can then be used to determine product routing optimizing and provide data management and reporting support for sophisticated product transaction management systems.

With the Closest Facility solver in ArcGIS Network Analyst, you can create drive-time calculations from a central facility, such as a warehouse, store, or medical facility.

Service area polygons can be generated around warehouses to determine the time it will take to reach the delivery locations and which customers are contained in separate service area polygons.

This analysis can be used as part of the entire supply chain/transport timeline for a product and quoted to the customer in various ways such as transport service standards.
