Community Mapping involves the process of geographic inquiry: using maps and geographic tools such as GIS and GPS to ask and answer questions about the place you call home.

Community Mapping is a growing phenomenon evolving from many different organizations simultaneously. Several national organizations and many smaller groups, such as neighborhood organizations and individual schools have undertaken Community Mapping projects.
